Ward, has designed new construction as well as renovated and designed new additions to existing structures. New building types designed include dental clinics, parking decks, and schools. Renovated building types include down town office buildings, schools, dormitories, recreation facilities, churches and community centers.

She has performed design review services on 17 and 30 million-dollar projects; on historical renovation projects as well as new construction projects. On modernization of housing projects as well as historical housing projects. Design review services that include value engineering as it relates to programming, building design, and building materials. Her value engineering input was instrumental in bringing a 30 million dollar stadium within budget for the 1996 Summer Olympics as well as a 17 million dollar historical housing project within budget for Ft. Benning, Georgia. She has worked with architects, engineers, and on larger projects interior designers; and is familiar with building codes so the translation from design to construction documents will not delay the construction process. While designers review smaller projects themselves over time. Larger projects often require an opinion not already familiar with the project to provide a more objective point of view.
